Hand-painted Tee

About the process

The production process for this T-shirt begins with pre-soaking the fabric in a fiber-reactive solution. Once wrung out, the fabric is placed in a basin, covered with a layer of ice, and sprinkled with cobalt blue and bronze dye.

The fabric processes for 48 hours before it is rinsed and treated in a setting bath. After the T-shirt has dried, the design motif is outlined with water-soluble masking fluid to prevent bleeding. Once the masking fluid is dry, the final dye is painted onto the garment.

To complete the process, a final wash removes the masking fluid before the T-shirt is dried and labelled.

Specifications

220 GSM, 22-singles 100% combed cotton. Built to last with neck ribbing, side seams, shoulder-to-shoulder tape, and double needle hems, plus pre-shrunk fabric for minimal shrinkage.

Care

Machine wash cold with like colours.

Do not bleach.

Do not tumble dry.

Do not dry clean.

Line dry in shade or inside out
